If someone were to take a big colored lens into space how big would it have to be to shine a spot on the earth.

I had the random thought of like, what if someone took a red tinted lens or something into space and lined it up with the sun, would it cast a spot on the earth? If it would how big would the lens have to be to be noticeable on the ground looking up? submitted by /u/Frostedscales [link]
