Shemagh/Keffiyeh Origins Map [OC]

The keffiyeh comes from Kufa, Iraq. Saudis have the ghutrah, similar in appearance to the Jordanian shemagh, but it is larger and has no tassels. A variant of the shemagh in a houndstooth pattern is sometimes worn in Egypt, originating from the Sinai Peninsula. They are thinner, smaller, and ligh
