Pretty much no games recommend more than 16GB of RAM, even in the unoptimized era we're living in right now. Only a few titles at their highest presets say 32GB is ideal, so Microsoft claiming that 32GB is the future-proof standard isn't exactly wrong. You'll be fine with 16GB today, but perhaps not
