Japan, Philippines Launch Working Group on Transfer of Abukuma-class Destroyer Escorts

Japan and the Philippines have taken a significant step toward deeper defense cooperation by agreeing to establish a bilateral working group to explore the transfer of Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) vessels, including used destroyer escorts. The initiative could become a landmark case in
